A Roaring Success

As you probably know by now M and I celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary last week and to make it extra special we organised a party for family and friends. M and I really don't go out much any more so we thought it would be nice if we could really make an effort and dress up, so we did, we actually went one step further and gave the party a Gangster and Moll's theme.

To say it was a roaring success is an understatement. All our guest made a real effort and there was some great outfits.

Would you like to see some photo's, lucky other people had their camera's because with all the excitement my camera didn't even come out of my bag.
First let me apologise there are rather a lot of them couldn't decide which ones to show.
A Family photo to start with!

M and I

Myself with my very good friend Hazel

Our good friends Rob and Becky

Mummy and Lily having a little chat

M's Dad and Sister dancing the jive

This must of been a good record we're all up dancing

Oh I know this one, not sure I should be owning up to this

Flynn wanting a dance with mummy

M's Uncle Rich and Auntie Bloss

Nanny Bet and Grandad Will waltzing the night away

Nanny Bet and Min (M's Sister)

Auntie Hilly

It was all to much for one little boy at the end of the night

This is one night M and I won't be forgetting in a hurry.

The guy who did the disco was fabulous I've never been to a disco were one minute you could be waltzing to old blue eye's himself (Frank Sinatra) and next jumping up and down to the tunes of Madness and Bad Manners

Lucky it only happens once every ten years, as it was an extra expensive month for us but all worth it.

Michael and I now believe we are about to start a new chapter in our life's, which we thought would be a great time to evaluate our priorities. So I would just like to say to all you wonderful blogger's out there who have left me comments a big thank you as this will be the last post I will write on this blog. I have decided to start a new blog to record the changes an adjustments we make a family in this the next chapter of our life's.

If you would like to follow me on this journey just click on the link here.

Once again thank you to all of you and I hope you decide to jump on board the next chapter.

One lucky lady

and one very spacial lady.

I can't believe how lucky i have been, back a few weeks ago I joined Pat's from The sewing room's Pay It Forward and yesterday just as I was about to go out Mr Posty knocked on my door and knowing he only knocks when there is a parcel I raced down stairs to open the door,I'm on such good terms with Mr Posty that he's even coming to our Anniversary party. Pat had let me know that she had put my gift in the post so I was quite sure the parcel was from her.

So putting off my walk into town for a little longer, I set the parcel down and went and fetched the camera.

Would you like to see?

Well here we go

Patients!

It was wrapped up with pretty paper and I was so excited

and how right I was to be so excited, look it's fantastic so much hard work gone into this wonderful wall hanging. Pat you are the best such a special person. I can't believe that someone would put so much effort into a gift when they have never met me.

Pat is such a good friend always leaving such wonderful, encouraging comments on by blog, she has put so much effort into this wall hanging with Prince Hugo being the inspiration. Also in the parcel was a card for the birthday boy and an anniversary card for M and I. How thoughtful Pat is.

It goes so well on our pink walls, the children love it as much as I do and noticed Prince Hugo straight away.

Pat thank you so much!

Keeping Busy

First off I had a great day yesterday it was my lunch date with my friend Hazel and her daughter Honey, in the end I invited Hazel's mum as well who is also a good friend.
We had a really good time catching up.
I use to do this alot with friends, we use to take it turns to cook for each other instead of going out it was so much more personal and I forgot how much I enjoyed all the prep and cooking

The Menu
Large flat mushroom with a cream cheese, garlic and herb topping on a bed of Salad.

(not sure what to call this as it's my own receipe)

With home made Granery bread.

Lime and Tarragon Chicken

with roasted carrots, green beans and new potatoes.

(sorry no pictures we were to hungry)

Banofee Pie with toffee icecream.

All topped of with a lovely cup of tea and a piece of Victoria sponge, only joking we left the cake for another time.

M is coming home early today so that we can go into town together. It's Flynn's birthday next Monday so we need to go and get his present. Mmm not sure what to get him he hasn't really asked for anything. Last minute as usual I've decided to give him a birthday party so have that to organise as well, lucky enough I can have the hall were I work, so that means the house won't have to suffer a dozen or so 5 year old's.

I know that I mention a while ago that it was M and I's 10Th Wedding Anniversary this year, well it is upon us already. Friday we will off had 10 years of wedded bliss, OK may be not every day as I said I a past post there's been many ups and downs and a couple years back we did separate for a while but apart from that time which I now would say it was just a glitch, which has brought us even closer, it's been pretty good and I believe that our life together will only get better and stronger as the years go on.

Now to celebrate MIL said they would have the children over to stay on Friday night so I'm cooking a nice meal for the two of us, this will be so lovely we don't get much of a chance to sit down and enjoy a nice meal with grown up conversation very often, well I think the last time was last years anniversary when we went out to lunch before picking the children up from school. I can't remember the last time that the children stayed away for the night. Still no doubt I will be up early to go get them from nanny's as I do miss them really. Oh and we have Flynn's party on the Saturday.

However the big news is we are splashing out on a party.

Gangster's and Moll's is the theme.

I'm so excited about this, getting family and friends together to celebrate what I think is a rather large mile stone in our life's. I'm sure there are many of you out there that have been married for many more years and I applaud you. I only hope that M and I too can carry on celebrating each year we spend together and reaching many more mile stones, just may be not so extravagantly.

Again this post seems to be a bit random lots going on, may be next month will be a bit quieter and a bit more time for sewing and knitting.
